Behind The Tow: Season 2 Episode 11

Living in Miami Beach definitely has perks. It also has downfalls. Every few years we get smacked with a nasty hurricane season. On this episode of SBT you got to see just a small sliver of just such a season two years ago. I've got one word for you, EVACUATION! Hurricanes lead to evacuations and both are bad for business.

While everyone else gets to hunker down at home, we're open and ready for business as usual. Although this doesn't normally include towing illegally parked cars, there are more fun things to do like moving downed trees off the roads so emergency crews can safely pass.

I've worked many a hurricanes and along the way seen some amazing things. I've had to work for days with only the light from a battery lit lantern and seen wind so strong it has snapped metal gates in half. There's been curfews, street flooding, water and gas shortages, transformers exploding, and so much more.

The last time a hurricane rolled through it worked in my favor. Remember, I was pregnant, so instead of being the one stuck working in the dark, I was the one safely snuggled up with Mr. Man at home.

All I can say is thank goodness for Bernice's mom because, just when you think you've seen it all, a hurricane changes the game.

Tell me about your storm stories below in the comments.

Dear Lovies,

I want to take a few minutes out of this Monday morning to apologize for my absence and let you know what has kept me away over the past...
